Online Book Club Review

“The book has a much wider and more detailed range of activities than I expected when I selected it to review.  The author has created multiple activities in different categories to go with each page of the original book.  This works well for the adult coordinating the activities because they can choose one or two that work best for them from the many choices provided to accompany each page.”

Overall, I would rate this activity book 4 out of 4 stars

The Caldecott Activity Book offers an engaging, repetitive approach to guided activities that promote learning and provide interactive art opportunities. Accompanied by focused questions, it enriches children’s comprehension of various subjects, nurturing critical thinking, vocabulary, math, and science skills. The activity instructions are clear and easy-to-follow. However, teachers or parents should prepare materials in advance, including books related to cats, the moon, space, gravity, and more. Additionally, it features web links for age-appropriate children to explore additional information using a computer.
